The brief
The clients wanted more space on both floors without moving: a bigger kitchen-diner downstairs and an extra bedroom upstairs, plus a garden that worked with the new rooms.
What we did
- Built a two storey side extension, giving extra living space downstairs and a new bedroom above
- Built a single storey rear extension with a hipped, tiled roof and French doors onto the garden
- Cut timber roofs, with lead-dressed valleys and rolls where the new roofs meet
- Brickwork and tiles matched to the existing house
- Laid a new patio and paths to finish the garden
