The brief
The clients wanted their separate kitchen and dining room turned into one open-plan space, with a new kitchen and fresh finishes throughout. We’d worked for them before, so they came straight back to us.
What we did
- Propped the structure and removed the load-bearing wall between the kitchen and dining room
- Installed a new steel beam on new brick piers, to the structural engineer’s design
- Moved the plumbing for the new kitchen layout
- New electrics and lighting
- Plastered the ceilings and walls, with the steel boxed in
- Fitted the client’s new kitchen
- New flooring throughout, and new skirting
How it went
Dust sheets went up from day one to protect the rest of the house, and we kept the work tidy throughout.
What the client said ★★★★★
“Constructek are an excellent building company to work with. Danny is a Master Builder, very professional, his quotes are detailed and clear, and his work is first rate. I would absolutely recommend his company for any building work large or small. We’ve used his company five times now and wouldn’t go anywhere else.”
